Dr.Tim J Tuckett
Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability and Ethics
Tim Tuckett is a seasoned International Development Specialist with over 25 years’ professional experience in developing countries around the world. He graduated in Agriculture Management at University of Natal (now Kwazulu) in South Africa (1979); then completed his postgraduate in Business Administration in 1990. Tim started his career in 1980 with Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) in commercial agriculture managing large-scale plantation enterprises in the Pacific Rim countries. As a post-graduate Tim changed his career to operations management, including logistics and strategy planning in the fresh produce industry with Geest, for the import of fresh fruit from Middle East, South Africa and Europe. He took on executive management roles in the sugar industry in UK and East Africa with Booker Tate (Tate & Lyle subsidiary). Building on his international management experience, Tim advanced into technical consultancy and project management in large-scale complex donor funded international development programmes, with donors including DFID, USAID, World Bank, IFC, EU, and DANIDA. During this phase of his career Tim specialised in private sector development including: business environment reform in DR Congo; market systems development in Nepal; design and implementation of an agricultural credit scheme in Southern Iraq; design of agriculture and rural development facility in Afghanistan, privatization and business restructuring in Egypt, India and Barbados.
Dr. Shaun McCarthy
Dr Shaun McCarthy is currently the CEO of the ICSS Enterprise, an international organization dedicated to safeguarding sport. Prior to that he served as a Vice President for the Monitor group where he led the Group’s Middle East operations. Shaun worked as the Group Intelligence Co-Ordinator for Shell International and as Director for Special Operations at Kroll Associates.
Shaun has over 35 years of experience in both the public and private sectors and served for 11 years as an Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence Officer before been appointed as the Administration and Security Director for Mercedes-Benz South Africa. He is a seasoned veteran across a range of expertise areas including national security and counter-terrorism, intelligence gathering and counter-intelligence, risk and threat assessment, national resilience and crisis management. He has also led major strategy development assignments including economic development in Northern Iraq, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Ian Robson
CSR and Ethics
Dr Ian Robson is Head of Management Studies at the University of Aberdeen. He has a wealth of senior leadership experience in Scottish Universities, notably as Director of the Graduate School of Business at the University of St. Andrews and Director of Executive Education at the University of Dundee. His academic research is currently in the field of partnership and conflict at the business-society interface. In recent times, Ian has researched the nature of work and leadership in dynamic small business settings, especially in knowledge-based industries such as software development, bio-medical and e-learning. He has delivered impactful and innovative leadership and strategy programmes in the post-experience practitioner environment for many years. He has also successfully delivered leadership and strategic consultancy services into micro-enterprise and global business environments across many industries including construction, energy, automotive and retail. He is the EMBA Programme Director.
Chris has an international background in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, South America and Australia. As Director of the Change Programme at Henley Business School he built Henley’s lead change programme and he teaches at Cambridge University at the Judge Business School in the area of Entrepreneurial Leadership; he is a Visiting Tutor at Maastricht University and also at the University of Southampton, as well as working with The University of Aberdeen where he is an Honorary Visiting Fellow teaching on the MBA.
He specialises in helping managers and leaders with pragmatic solutions to tough people issues. He works in the areas of Coaching, Management Education, Leadership and Talent, Change and Managing Stress. He has a particular interest in the Neuroscience of Change and Leadership and is a member of the NeuroLeadership Institute. He has regularly spoken and consulted on the subject of Productive Engagement - the ability of organisations, leaders and managers to create and sustain the vital conditions in which their teams drive productivity. He has worked with Nexen, Murphy, Total, Pertronas and Technip in the Oil and Gas world and has clients in a number of other consumer lead sectors as well. He is involved with the National Business Awards and recently Chaired the Transformational Change and Business Enabler of the Year categories.
Dr. Trevor Morrow
Dr Trevor Morrow is a Principal Lecturer in Human Resource Management within Liverpool Business School, John Moores University. He has 20 years’ experience of teaching, researching and publishing in the fields of organisational behavior and human resource management, entrepreneurship, international business, business research methods and business strategy. He is a chartered member of CIPD, a fellow of CMI and a senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Trevor has also advised many high profile public and private sector organisation on their Corporate and Human Resource Strategies and specifically key elements of HR policy and practice including The Northern Ireland Civil Service, Derry City Council, Shorts Bombardier, Seagate Technology, Abbott Industries, Mivan, Wright Bus, Translink, and Caterpillar.
Dr. John Tisdell

Russell Williams is Director of the Graduate Business School at the University of Aberdeen and currently also Programme Director for its MBA (Energy Management). An experienced academic, trainer and researcher, Russell currently leads on the University’s Business Strategy, Leadership and Strategic Marketing courses. He has also previously taught in the areas of Project Management and E-Business. Most recently, Russell has been working in the area of business disruption and leadership in a disruptive world delivering executive workshops focussed on this topic. Russell has published widely across a range of journals including: Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Management Decision, Managerial Auditing Journal, Organization Development, Management Decision, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, International Journal of Technology & Human Interaction etc. In a previous life, Russell was involved in two Internet start-ups at the turn of the millennium. He also serves as a business mentor for start-ups and has visiting lectureships at the University of St Andrews (Scotland) and Turku School of Economics (Finland).
Dr. Brian Howieson
Brian is a Professor of business and management and is a scholarly practitioner. He joined the University of Napier in 2018 after 4 years at Dundee University. He completed a 4-year Senior Foundation for Management Education/Economic and Social Research Council Fellowship at Stirling Management School, the University of Stirling. Prior to this, he had a 23-year career with the Royal Air Force (UK Ministry of Defence Fellow (2002)) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. His research covers the broad spectrum of leadership including its history and the current state of the field. In detail, he is very interested in leadership as a public good; leadership in mutuals and cooperatives; and developing contemporary models of leadership, particularly in the areas of mission leadership and empowerment. He is particularly knowledgeable in the areas of leadership and change in high performance settings including military, sports, politics and technology.
Robin has over 10 years management experience in public, private and voluntary sector organisations. His Senior Management roles combined with his Careers, Community and Staff development experience offers a unique blend of skills and expertise. He has been a Coach, Trainer and Psychometric Assessor for over 4 years and has worked closely with Middle and Senior Managers across a wide range of sectors developing their leadership capacity and skills. Clients have included Michelin, Oracle, Fidelity Investments, Liberty IT, BBC and Oxfam.
Robin has worked with a wide range of SME's, Multinationals and Public Sector in delivering Leadership & Management development programmes and coaching one to one with Senior Managers. His coaching work with Concern was recognised by two ICF Coaching ‘Highly Commended’ Awards and a Concern Volunteer Award in 2014. He was also awarded a Volunteer Award by Concern. Robin has become among the first Accredited Analytic Network Coaches in the UK enabling his clients to look deeper at both themselves and the networks they operate within.
